While the game won’t count for much other than a chance for the coaches to scout players, it’s useful for us to know a little bit about the team we’ll be watching face off with the Panthers. For that, let’s turn to our friends from Battle Red Blog to see what they expect from the Texans this year.

Bills vs Eagles Live

NFL Preseason Week 1

Even Time: Live pm ET

Date: Friday, August 17

Notable free agent additions: None

Notable free agent departures: A.J. Bouye, Vince Wilfork (retirement)

Bills vs Eagles Live

Trades: Brock Osweiler to Cleveland, trade up in the first round for DeShaun Watson with Cleveland, trade into fourth round for Carlos Watkins with Cleveland

Draft picks expected to contribute as rookies

DeShaun Watson, Zach Cunningham, D’Onta Foreman, and Carlos Watkins will all likely see the field throughout their rookie year. Watson of course is the quarterback of the future, but look for Cunningham and Foreman to carve out big roles this season as a nickel linebacker and short yardage back, respectively. Watkins will likely see plenty of snaps as a rotational interior pass rusher behind J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney.

Biggest offseason addition

DeShaun Watson, hands down. Anytime your team adds a potential franchise quarterback, it’s automatically the biggest move of the offseason. Whether it was through free agency last year with Osweiler or through the draft this year for Watson, the Texans have been ultra-aggressive in their approach to finding a capable signal caller in the post-Matt Schaub era. Hopefully Watson will finally be the guy to end their arduous search.

Biggest storyline heading into training camp

Who will start at quarterback on opening day? Tom Savage and DeShaun Watson will both compete for the job, though Savage has the early leg up in the competition due to his experience. If Watson shows up to camp and flashes something special early, however, we may see him start sooner than anyone previously anticipated.

Under-the-radar storyline heading into training camp

When will DeAndre Hopkins and Jadeveon Clowney be signed to contract extensions? The Texans have quite a bit of free cap space at the moment with A.J. Bouye taking his talents to Jacksonville instead of staying in Houston, so presumably all of that money – 29.8 million to be exact – will be set aside to keep Hopkins and Clowney on the team long term. Both players seem optimistic about deals getting done, with Hopkins the more likely candidate to be extended this offseason, but until the ink has dried on both contracts there will still be some apprehensiveness among Texans fans about the situation.

Notable injuries heading into training camp

No star players have sustained any major injuries this offseason so far, though J.J. Watt’s recovery from last offseason’s back ailments still loom large over the organization. As long as Watt is healthy and ready to hit the ground running in August, expect the Texans to be an elite defense yet again in 2017. If he still needs more time to “get right”, however, it may be another slow start for him this September as the training staff eases him back into a full time workload.

Despite practicing indoors, the Falcons stuck with their regular game plan, going through individual position work and various situational drills. Coach Dan Quinn said he was glad to see his team focused and motivated during their final full practice before their first preseason game at Miami on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET

Friends, let your hearts be light, for we have nearly reached the first preseason game. We can talk about the things we see on the field for weeks, and savor it like a steak dinner. Assuming you like steak. It also means we’ll be talking about the game, breaking down the position battle implications of what we see, and praying for a zero injuries for Atlanta. Nothing new there, but it’s going to feel good to get right back into the swing of it.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Welcome to watch your favorite NFL game Buccaneers vs Jaguars Live. Today’s match is very important for both teams. Both teams captain and all player are ready to go with a big win. Football is here. Allow that to sink in for a moment. I repeat… football is here. The 49ers will run out onto the Arrowhead Stadium turf tonight in the preseason opener against Chiefs.

Welcome to Patrick Mahomes day … err, the Chiefs 2017 preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs have been up at training camp in St. Joe for the past few weeks getting ready for the season. This is the next step in their preparation as they get real, live game action. It doesn’t count, of course. But it’s something.

We have all the nuts and bolts for the game below, along with a few pregame notes on, who else, Patrick Mahomes, as well as the starters playing time and injuries that will affect the game. You can access the Chiefs roster and depth chart right here. They won’t follow that depth chart exactly but it will be close. Andy Reid says he’s going to try and get every player in the game tonight.

Alex Smith will start the game but Andy Reid says he’s only playing a quarter or so. The 49ers say their starters won’t play more than a quarter either. Tyler Bray will get the second quarter and Mahomes will get the third quarter followed by Joel Stave in the fourth.

I get excited for the first preseason game and then quickly disappointed once the first team is out. It’ll be a little different this year as we await Mahomes in the third quarter. He will be playing with second and third stringers but he can still show off what he can do.

Because of injuries, the Chiefs are also going to feature some other players we don’t always see a lot. Eric Berry has been out with a heel injury so if he doesn’t play we could see Eric Murray playing more safety. With Travis Kelce likely out, the Chiefs will feature Demetrius Harris, Gavin Escobar and Ross Travis a little more at tight end. If Bennie Logan doesn’t play (which would suck), we would see more new signing Roy Miller. So, even though it’s preseason, there are still some new-ish things to be looking for.

THE NEW COACHES: Yes, Shanahan has been an offensive coordinator for several franchises, but this is the 37-year-old’s first chance to call the shots. It’s also the first opportunity for his coaching staff to work together in a game-like setting.

QUARTERBACK COMPETITION: Brian Hoyer will start for San Francisco and Alex Smith will start for Kansas City, and neither veteran is getting much pressure at this point. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of competition for the guys barking at their heels.

Matt Barkley will be the first off the bench for San Francisco, but Shanahan said “we’ll see how that goes in the second game.” In other words, there’s a good chance that rookie C.J. Beathard — who has looked good throughout training camp — will be first on deck with a good performance in Kansas City.

Smith will give way to Chiefs veteran Tyler Bray in the second quarter, while first-round draft pick Patrick Mahomes II gets the third quarter. Those two are in a spirited battle for the backup job.

“They’ve put in a lot of work, Tyler in particular,” Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy said, “and he’s done a really good job at mentally getting into it. He’s had some opportunities in preseason, so I know he’s really looking forward to just coming out here and trying to do the best he can.”

TASTY REUBEN: The 49ers are salivating at the thought of insider linebacker Reuben Foster playing alongside NaVorro Bowman. But whether that happens Friday night is questionable after the former Alabama standout was hobbled by an ankle injury in practice this week.

“His ankle has been bothering him a little each day,” Shanahan said after Wednesday’s workout. “It looked like he kind of did the same thing, just kind of got stepped on a little bit.”

SPEAKING OF INJURIES: Rookie tight end George Kittle is unlikely to play for San Francisco with a hamstring injury, while offensive lineman Joshua Garrett is out for a month after knee surgery.

Consequently, there are three players that I’m extremely excited to see in action against someone other than the Falcons this Thursday night. This is a football team full of young, talented and promising players that will be giving everything they have in order to make this 53-man roster by the end of August. Minnesota Vikings: 3 Players that must dominate 2017 preseason.

The Minnesota Vikings are about a week away from their first preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. It seems like forever since we’ve last seen the Dirty Birds take the field and I know the players are ready to go. That being said, next Thursday night can’t come soon enough.

The very best information in regards to the third week of the preseason is that it is the closest factor any exhibition game could possibly be to a regular season matchup. So when the Minnesota Vikings journey to Orlando to take on the Miami Dolphins Thursday night time, it ought to function a heavy dose of Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Ryan Tannehill and the rest of the starters from each group.Dolphins live stream,Carolina Panthers vs Tennessee Titans live stream,Falcons live stream, Minnesota Vikings vs Miami Dolphins, nfl live stream those words means same words…..we mean live stream.

Despite the fact that fans should anticipate to see most starters for at least the primary half, not everyone will probably be in action. The Falcons have already confirmed that longtime kicker Matt Bryant, who ended up on injured reserve last season with a hamstring challenge and has been held out of a number of practices, is not going to take the sphere against the Dolphins. Atlanta signed veteran kicker Shayne Graham Saturday, and Graham will take over kicking duties towards the Dolphins.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Jacksonville Jaguars live

The Jacksonville Jaguars have returned to EverBank Field and are about to start Day 1 of joint practices against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Practices start at 10:00am EST and end at 1:05pm EST today and tomorrow. The sessions will be open to the public before a closed walkthrough on Wednesday ahead of their nationally televised Week 2 preseason game on ESPN.

What will the first day of joint practices with the Buccaneers have in store for the Jaguars? Can Blake Bortles bounce back from a practice where he was seemingly benched because of how poorly he was throwing the football? Can Dante Fowler have a good enough week of practice to not be as invisible as he was against the New England Patriots last week?

The Jaguars (1-0) will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) at EverBank Field Thursday night. You can watch tonight’s matchup on ABC 25 with pregame coverage starting at 7 p.m.

The meeting follows two joint practices, which offered a lot of smack talk and physical altercations.

The Jaguars made the most of their preseason debut against the New England Patriots (0-1) last week. While quarterback Blake Bortles was held to just five throws, the Jaguars’ depth groups picked up the slack and carried Jacksonville to victory.

On the Tampa Bay side, the Buccaneers are coming off a preseason debut loss to the Cincinnati Bengals (1-0).

The Jaguars’ starting quarterback’s camp has been uneven, for sure, but that won’t matter if he plays well starting on Sept. 10. The road to playing well against Houston should begin against Tampa Bay. Bortles played only 13 snaps and attempted five passes against New England and then was shut down with a “tired arm,” for Sunday’s practice. This offense in general and this quarterback in particular needs to build momentum.

2. DANTE FOWLER

Fowler played 21 snaps (two tackles) against the Patriots and followed with what appeared to be two decent days of practice against Tampa Bay. Fowler even earned praise from coach Doug Marrone for his work, a first during Marrone’s short tenure when asked about Fowler. The next step for Fowler is to show production when matched against right tackle Demar Dotson and then win his match-ups against Tampa Bay’s No. 2 offensive line.

3. COREY GRANT

Tailback Leonard Fournette’s foot injury, although not considered to be serious, should have the Jaguars on guard and protecting Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon to make sure they get to Week 1 at full health. That could equal a huge opportunity for Grant, whose 120 rushing yards against New England were most in the NFL last week and his 79-yard touchdown was the longest rushing attempt. A month ago, we thought the roster math had room for only three tailbacks, but another good game will strengthen Grant’s case for a fourth tailback to be kept.

4. BLAIR BROWN

Brown, the Jaguars’ fifth-round draft pick in April, was a non-factor in the first two weeks of training camp. But when the game lights were turned on, Brown became noticeable, making a team-high eight tackles in 37 snaps. A weak-side linebacker since rookie camp, Brown is now getting snaps at strong-side linebacker. Can he play physical enough on the strong-side after showing athleticism at the weak-side spot?

5. ALEX ELLIS

The Jaguars started the New England game in “12” personnel (one RB/two TE/two WR) and Ellis was surprisingly the second tight end along with Marcedes Lewis. Before camp, Ellis appeared on the outside of the 53-man roster, but Mychal Rivera has not practiced since Aug. 1, creating an opening. The Jaguars would be wise to tune up their two-tight end personnel to help offensive tackles Cam Robinson (probably the left tackle) and Jermey Parnell (definitely the right tackle) in Week 1. Maybe that second tight end is Ellis.

ABOUT THE BUCCANEERS

Last year: 9-7 (second in AFC South)

Coach: Dirk Koetter (second year)

Additions: WR DeSean Jackson (Washington), QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (New York Jets), DT Chris Baker (Washington), K Nick Folk (New York Jets), LS Garrison Sanborn (Buffalo), TE O.J. Howard (first round/Alabama) and WR Chris Godwin (third round/Penn State). The Buccaneers spent big money on Jackson ($20 million guaranteed) and used their first round pick on Howard to give QB Jameis Winston two more weapons. The trio of WR Mike Evans/Jackson/Howard could be dynamic; Evans was the Buccaneers best player in their two practices against the Jaguars. Folk is the kicker after Roberto Aguayo, a second-round pick last season, was waived earlier this week.

Departures: QB Mike Glennon (Chicago), FS Bradley McDouglad (Seattle), WR Russell Shepard (Carolina) and K Roberto Aguayo (claimed by Chicago). The Buccaneers didn’t lose much in free agency. Glennon signed with the Bears for a chance to start and McDouglad has been replaced by Keith Tandy.

Outlook: Tampa Bay should contend for a division title if it can survive a gauntlet-like opening to the year (at Miami in Week 1, at Minnesota in Week 3, home to the Giants and New England in Weeks 4-5). QB Jameis Winston became the first player in league history to throw for more than 4,000 yards in each of his first two years and Season 3 in coach Dirk Koetter’s playbook should produce another uptick in his production (he needs to lower his interception total from last year’s 18). On defense, DT Gerald McCoy and newcomer Chris Baker should be a solid run-stopping duo and DE Noah Spence looked good this week in pass rushing drills.

Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles live

The Eagles trade of Jordan Matthews to the Buffalo Bills Friday in exchange for cornerback Ronald Darby has the chance to dramatically change the team’s wide receiver picture, and crack open the door for some players currently on the bubble to solidify a spot on the 53-man roster.     Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery appears to be inching closer to making his Eagles’ debut, after missing last Thursday’s preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers with a sprained shoulder.

Jeffery returned to practice and took part in full 11-on-11 team drills for the first time since injuring his shoulder on July 29, and left the door open to actually suit up Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills at Lincoln Financial Field.

“I want to [play],” Jeffery said following Monday morning’s practice at the NovaCare Complex. “We’ll see.”

Judging by his comments, Jeffery has had a bit of a change of heart when it comes to exhibition games, after telling NJ Advance Media last week that he doesn’t like playing in the four meaningless games each year.

“To be honest, I don’t like preseason games,” Jeffery said Thursday night at Lambeau Field to NJ Advance Media. “I’d rather play real games.”

On Monday morning, Jeffery was matched up one-on-one against newly acquired cornerback Ronald Darby, and Darby provided tight coverage against Jeffery as he eased his way back into full-team work.

While Jeffery’s absence from the first preseason game appeared to be as a precaution by head coach Doug Pederson, there is value to getting him on the field with quarterback Carson Wentz for some meaningful snaps before the regular season kicks off on Sept. 10 at FedEx Field against the Washington Redskins.

Eaglesright tackle Lane Johnson looks to bounce this season back from a disappointing 2016 campaign in which he was flat out dominant when on the field, but missed 10 games due to his second suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance Enhancing Drug Policy.

Johnson will face a tough test in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field, but the matchup with defensive end Ryan Kerrigan is one that he says he looks forward to every season.

“I don’t really circle it [on the calendar],” Johnson said following Tuesday’s practice at the NovaCare Complex on NJ Advance Media’s The No Huddle Show. “But, I like going up against Ryan Kerrigan. It’s just always a good battle. It’s kind of like the old days with Jon Runyan and Michael Strahan, just a good guy who tries hard every play. He’s pretty talented. He’s a high-effort guy. I really look forward to playing him every year.”

Baltimore Ravens vs Miami Dolphins live

The Dolphins don’t have much time to wait for Jay Cutler to acclimate. It’s time to get him into full preparation for the upcoming season, and that begins with officially inserting him into the starting job Thursday against Baltimore.

Cutler has been the presumed starter since the day he arrived and has been running the first-string offense all week. He sat out of last week’s preseason opener, but coach Adam Gase is ready to throw him into live action.

“I think right now everything looks like Jay’s going to go,” he said.

That means it’s time for Cutler to show that he’s caught up to teammates that went through the full offseason program. The expiration date on any excuses about him just getting here have expired.

Matt Moore started last week and stayed in for one series, a three-and-out that included one pass attempt, and Gase is looking for a longer run from Cutler and the starters Thursday. He didn’t specify whether they’d play a full quarter but said he wanted them out there a little longer to “see if we can get something going.”

The challenge for getting Cutler ready is primarily his feel for the speed of the game, the perils of dropping back in the pocket and his overall conditioning. What the Dolphins don’t want is to risk putting him in a situation with live hitting and have him be a little rusty in his awareness.

When it comes to timing with his receivers, it’s important to note that not a single skill player on this team has ever taken a snap with him. All three starting receivers should be available, but it’s uncertain whether Julius Thomas and Jay Ajayi will play. Thomas has been fighting through a back problem, and Ajayi was just cleared from the concussion he suffered July 31.

As far as his cardiovascular endurance, which he joked about in his introductory press conference, it’s unlikely anyone will get a read on that Thursday. He’s not much of a runner anyway, and surely the Dolphins don’t want him scrambling for a first down in a preseason game.

Gase has been adamant from the onset that Cutler has mastered the offense, which is basically the same one they ran together in Chicago in 2015. The biggest difference from that playbook to Miami’s current one is in the ground game, and Cutler has put in extra hours going over that with quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree.

“Just being behind some of these guys and missing most of training camp, missing OTAs, I think it’s important for me to get some valuable reps out there, feel good and get some positive stuff on tape with some of these guys,” Cutler said.

He felt comfortable with playing in Thursday’s game but was waiting for Gase to make the call. He also mentioned the offensive line’s health might play a role in the decision.

Last week, right guard Jermon Bushrod was the only projected starter to play. The Dolphins are still missing right tackle Ja’Wuan James, and Mike Pouncey remains limited as the team eases him through a maintenance program.

At this point, it looks like Sam Young will step in for James and play next to Bushrod. Jake Brendel, a third stringer last year, is in line to start at center with Anthony Steen at left guard and Laremy Tunsil resuming his spot at left tackle. Brendel and Steen could swap, and Kraig Urbik might play one of those spots as well depending on how healthy his back is.

“I’m still trying to figure out who’s going to be available, but we should have more than what we had last week,” Gase said. “It’s just kind of getting those guys out there and getting rolling and see if we can create some holes, get in some kind of rhythm in the passing game, and get some drives under our belt. This is kind of still the starting point for us.”

Moore might not play much in part because Gase pointed out that he is far ahead of the pace he kept last training camp in terms of reps, and the team wants to be careful not to overwork his arm.

Brandon Doughty and David Fales, both of whom are competing to be the third quarterback, are likely to handle the majority of the snaps again. The battle between those two might actually matter, since the age of Cutler (34) and Moore (33) could necessitate Miami keeping a third quarterback.

Denver Broncos vs Chicago Bears live

To kick off their preseason slate, the Chicago Bears will host the Denver Broncos on Thursday, August 10th. While these preseason games do not count in the record books, it is undoubtedly a good time to get an idea of the players on the roster.

 http://livewatchgame.com/nfl/

For the Bears, in particular, the preseason slate of games should be interesting. This is a young and rebuilding team who is not expected to compete in 2017. General manager Ryan Pace and his staff are building this team for the long-term. The 2017 season may not bring many wins, but it will be an important year in the development of their young players. That all begins at training camp and we start to see the results in the preseason games.

Week 1 of the preseason is primarily about simply getting on the field in live action. Offensive and defensive schemes will be vanilla and starters will likely only see the field for a series or two. However, it is the first time we get to see rookies in the NFL game. Is the speed of the game too much for them to overcome? This is where we start to find out.

Chicago Bears football is almost here! Even though it is the preseason, I know you are excited to watch. However, do not discount the importance these games can have on a young team. Learn a little bit about the players who will shape the future of this franchise.

Do you want to know which specific players to watch? I have your back.

Washington Redskins vs Baltimore Ravens live

Free-agent acquisition Quintin Demps and fourth-round draft pick Eddie Jackson from Alabama are making immediate impacts while joining holdovers Adrian Amos, Chris Prosinski and Harold Jones-Quartey. Second-year defensive backs Deon Bush, Deiondre Hall and DeAndre Houston-Carson are also in competition after starting out last year as cornerbacks or playing both spots.

“I feel that the potential to be better is there, both with the additions of Demps and Jackson along with the growth of Bush, Amos, Quartey, Prosinski, DHC (Carson) – all those guys I think can grow,” defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said. “So I feel better about it.”

Amos started all but two games his first two seasons, and knows it’s going to be difficult hanging onto a starting spot.

“There’s so many good players,” Amos said. “It’s probably better that this year there’s a lot more competition. That just shows we’ll have a lot of depth coming forward this year.”

Quarterbacks generally found it difficult to beat safeties deep in scrimmage, particularly Jackson and Demps. Jackson displayed a nose for the ball both in deep coverage and in the red zone.

Jackson watched at OTAs and minicamp while healing from a broken leg suffered at Alabama, but his rapid improvement is obvious since joining training camp practices full time in the first week.
